The Michelin Star L'Ortolan is a French fine dining restaurant housed in a  17th Century converted vicarage, in Shinfield.  As well as dining in the restaurant, there are also opportunities to dine at the "Chef's Table", where menus and wine lists are discarded and a selection of Chef's dishes are served whilst you watch them being prepared.

Loch Fyne began life as a business growing oysters in the clear, fertile waters of Loch Fyne, and is now a contemporary restaurant chain of around 38 sites, selling quality fresh fish and shellfish dishes. Established in 1998, Loch Fyne restaurants can be found throughout the UK, often in striking buildings.  Visitors to the restaurant can choose from the a la carte menu or something simple such as oysters washed down with a glass of champagne.  The Reading restaurant is a period building overlooking the canal with a separate bar and al fresco dining during the summer months.

The hotel has 108 well appointed rooms.

The Dew Pond Restaurant is housed in a 16th century country house, stretching across interlinking rooms with original beams.  The AA Rosette restaurant serves modern British / French cuisine based around the fresh seasonal produce supplied locally.  The rural restaurant and has beautiful country views, which can be enjoyed during the summer months with a pre-dinner drink on the outside terrace overlooking the pond.
