Breakfast in Surrey

Carluccio’s Caffés were stablished by well-known Italian chef Antonio Carluccio in 1991, and can now be found across the country.  The contemporary, stylish Italian cafés also double up as delicatessens with a range of Italian products on sale including pasta, pastries, antipasta, jams, preservatives, wines and books.   Carluccio’s cafés are generally open from 8/9am in the morning for breakfast, to late at night for evening meals. Loch Fyne, Guildford, Surrey, 01483 230550

Loch Fyne began life as a business growing oysters in the clear, fertile waters of Loch Fyne, and is now a contemporary restaurant chain of around 38 sites, selling quality fresh fish and shellfish dishes. Established in 1998, Loch Fyne restaurants can be found throughout the UK, often in striking buildings.  Visitors to the restaurant can choose from the a la carte menu or something simple such as oysters washed down with a glass of champagne.  The Guildford restaurant is housed in a listed building, and on a Sunday Champagne breakfast is available from 10am.

25 January Burns Night. A wonderful evening celebrating our inherent 'Scottishness' - a Burns menu with fabulous meat and seafood dishes including Haggis, Neeps and Tatties for those with a taste for the traditional. Always a fun evening and a memorable night out. £21.95 per person for three courses including a dram of Talisker or glass of wine on arrival.

Modern Restaurant, Brasserie, Coffee Shop and Delicatessen housed in a former Post Office and owned by Read.y Steady, Cook TV chef Tony Tobin, who also owns the Dining Room in Reigate.  An all-day menu is available in the Coffee Shop & Deli, while lunch and dinner is available in the contemporary ground floor Brasserie, with minimalist furniture and parquet flooring.  Dinner is available upstairs in the award winning Post Restaurant.  A 2 AA Rosette restaurant, serving modern British cuisine in a slightly more formal yet contemporary setting, with leather swivel chairs.

Café Rouge, All Over South East,

Relaxed French dining café restaurants found on many high streets across the South East.  Café Rouge is open all day for breakfast, lunch and dinner.  For breakfast they provide of variety of choices including pastries, filled croissants, smoked salmon and scrambled eggs, savoury pancakes, a classic French breakfast of smoked ham and Gruyère cheese croque topped with a fried egg, and a traditional English breakfast.

Ligh, bright and airy French brasserie style restaurants serving breakfast, lunch and dinner.  In general breakfast is available until midday and consists of English breakfast, omelette, muesli, croissant, scrambled eggs with smoke salmon, crepe and  bacon baquettes.  The Cobham brasserie has a larger breakfast menu including full English and steak with egg.
