Enjoy a glimpse into the private life of the most unlikely Victorian Prime Minister, Benjamin Disraeli, who lived here from 1848 until his death in 1881. Much of his furniture, books and pictures remain, as well as the recreated gardens based on the colourful designs of his wife, Mary Anne. Beautiful walks through the park and woodland surround this fascinating country home.

Important note - Certain rooms have little electric light. Visitors wishing to make a close study of the interior of the house should avoid dull days early and late in the season

Parking - Free parking, 200yds. Some waiting possible at peak times; parking space for only one coach; overflow car park 400yds

Building - Entrance has slightly raised ledge, ramp available on request. 3 wheelchairs. Ground floor has small rooms, very limited turning space, ramp available. Stairs to other floors

WCs - in stable yard

Grounds - Partly accessible, loose gravel paths, slopes, some steps and cobbles, terraces. Access to terrace for view of garden. Some visitors may require assistance from their companion
