Chilston Park Hotel

Elegant 17th Century, Grade 1 listed country house set in 250 acres of rolling countryside and dense woodland, this is an oasis of calm, comfort and warmth.

Luxuriously furnished, with 53 bedrooms, and exquisite antiques and hung with fine paintings, Chilston Park is steeped in centuries of tradition and heritage.

Chilston Park has been rated in the top 200 hotels in the country and has been awarded 4 AA Red Stars for exceptional quality of accommodation and service.

Relax in front of one of the many open fires in The Drawing Room, dining rooms, reception and bar, or stroll in the beautiful gardens and around the lake. If sport is more your thing, have a game of tennis, croquet or even petanque. Alternatively, try your hand at archery, boules or chess on the lawn, billiards, table tennis or board games in the Drawing Room. There is also a Spa local to the hotel.

Chilston Park Hotel is part of the Hand Picked Hotel Group, who are renowned for their traditional Sunday lunch and afternoon teas.

Whether eating your evening meal gazing up at the chandeliers in Culpeper's restaurant or snacking in the lounge or reading room, fine food and drink will be the icing on your weekend cake.

Culpeper's Restaurant is very traditional in style. With its draped curtains, antique furniture, white clothed tables and special silver cutlery, two open fireplaces and views out onto the grounds, the feel of Culpeper's is one in keeping with the feel of the house - Traditional.

There is a lighter snack menu in the Lounge or the Reading Room. The newly refurbished Lounge has a new look - modern, yet furnished with antiques to accentuate the beauty of each piece. With its stunning brown and cream marble floor, mirrors and pillars is a great place for a relaxing snack and afternoon tea.

The Bar is off the lounge and gives a relaxed space to enjoy a pre or post dinner drink.

The terrace outside the main restaurant and the Hussey Hall houses teak tables and parasols for al fresco dining. Basic or luxury picnic hampers are also on offer for those wishing to wander the grounds or the surrounding area.
