Take a journey on a steam train from Chinnor station along seven miles of track and take in the views and the history of the area.  In 2008 Chinnor are offering a series of Steam locomotive driving experience days, ranging in price and intensity.

Extraordinary open-air museum of fifty rebuilt historic buildings dating from the 13th to the 19th century, situated within 50 acres of beautiful Sussex countryside.  The buildings were rescued from destruction, dismantled, and then rebuilt. Exhibits include a timber framed farmhouse, market hall, Victorian school and medieval shop.  Regular demonstrations and people to talk to about how residents of the properties once lived.

Open House on Mothering Sunday 14th March - A special spring day to welcome visitors old and new at the start of the season! £2 entry for everyone, plus a bunch of daffodils for mothers and grandmothers!

Easter Activities 4th-5th April -  Bonnet competition and parade on the Monday. The school holiday period is a delightful time for a visit, with spring in the air, newborn lambs, and horses at work on seasonal tasks.

Wonderful Easter Wednesdays 7th & 14th April - Hands-on activities, crafts and games to occupy accompanied children of all ages. .

Painshill Park is set in 160 acres and dates back to the 18th century. Activities for both adults and children, with park trails for children and families, and historic sights to see such as The Gothic Temple, Ruined Abbey, Chinese Bridge, Crystal Grotto and Giant Waterwheel.

Easter Holiday Fun 1st-5th April - Easter Eco Garden. Go along to the drop-in family workshop where you can have some fun planting seeds. Start with creating your very own pot, and then get your hands dirty filling it with lovely mucky earth. You can plant some wonderful seeds and then take the pot home to water it, and watch the seeds grow. What you plant will turn into food and then the best bit of all is that you can eat what you have grown. Max. 4 Children per Adult. 

Easter Holiday Fun 6th-16th April - Easter Egg & Spoon Obstacle Course.  Go along with all the family and take the egg and spoon obstacle course challenge set within the springtime woods. You have to make sure you don’t drop your egg as you run, jump, climb and crawl your way through the fiendish eggy obstacle course.

The Mayor’s St Patrick’s Day Parade and Festival with Lebara Mobile will take place on Sunday 14 March,  and is likely to be one of London's liveliest celebrations of the year. Over 100,000 people attended the event last year. The parade - a colourful array of floats, marching bands and groups representing the Irish Counties - will proceed through central London from Green Park to Trafalgar Square from midday. Trafalgar Square will host the festival programme of live Irish music and dance on the main performance stage, showcasing the best of Irish music and dance from traditional to contemporary. Acts to be announced shortly. This free family day out is a fun way to experience all things Irish – food, dance, crafts, culture and music.

For something a little different, trek through the beautiful Surrey hills with a llama.  Choose from a basic walk, or various different packages that include champagne walks, picnics and barbeques, to name but a few.  There are also opportunities to adopt a llama.
