| Rock Doc Walks, Thanet Coast, 01844 577672 Follow the "Rock Dock" along the Thanet Coast as he tells you the history of the chalk cliffs, flints and fossils. Walks generally take place once a month, starting at 11am and lasting two hours. These events are free however a £3 donation is recommended, which goes towards future coastal events. |

| Amateur Horse Racing, Point-to-Point, South East, 0207 152 000 Point-to-Point racing is amateur steeplechase racing, often held on farm land, throughout the South East. They are great basic racing events where you can often drive close up to the track and have a picnic, and are fun for the whole family. The season runs from December to June with events mostly taking place at weekends. Most of the races are 3 miles with a minimum of 18 fences. Horses that start of as amateurs at point-to-points often go on to become good National Hunt racehorses. |

The steam train return day trips travel to various destinations in Great Britain, particularly in the South including Bath, Bristol, Chester, Warwick, Exeter, York and Oxford, to name but a few. Tickets are available in standard class carriages, first class and in luxurious dining carriages. Light snacks and cold platters are available to buy in standard and first class carriages, but for a real treat why not dine in the luxury dining carriage where travellers are served with breakfast or brunch on the outward journey and a four course meal on return. Trains leave London Kings Cross, Waterloo or Victoria and depending on the destination, some stations just outside London. |
