They are great basic racing events where you can often drive close up to the track and have a picnic, and are fun for the whole family. The season runs from December to June with events mostly taking place at weekends. Most of the races are 3 miles with a minimum of 18 fences. Horses that start of as amateurs at point-to-points often go on to become good National Hunt racehorses. |
