Hotham Arts Centre with the Alexandra Theatre stages music, arts, entertainment, exhibitions and film events for all tastes.

Chichester Festival Theatre, Chichester, Sussex, 01243 781312

Chichester Festival Theatre is a Grade II listed building with a "thrust" stage which helps to make the performances a more intimate experience in the auditorium that seats 1206 people!  During the Festival, which runs from April to September, many performances are packed in so that often plays are running parallel in both the Chichester and its sister theatre, the Minerva.  Touring productions run during the autumn months.

De La Warr Pavilion, Bexhill-on-Sea, Sussex, 01424 229111

De La Warr is housed in a Grade 1 listed building overlooking the sea, that re-opened after a £9million refurbishment in October 2005, and has since received half a million visitors.  The Pavilion has much entertainment on offer including children's workshops, exhibitions, comedy, drama, music and ballet. 

Eastbourne Theatres, Eastbourne, Sussex, 01323 412000

Eastbourne Theatres is made up of four theatres, the Congress Theatre, Victoria Devonshire Park, Winter Garden Floral Hall and Golden Room, and the Royal Hippodrome..  The theatres show a huge array of productions covering comedy, drama, music, ballet and musicals, whilst the Hippodrome is a music venue, with performances mostly during the summer.

Glyndebourne Festival Opera House, Lewes, 01273 812321

Annual event, with different operas performed throughout the months of May, June, July and August in the beautiful setting of Glyndebourne, on the Sussex Downs.  Famous for its hour long intervals, when visitors to the opera dine in the restaurant or have a picnic on the lawns.
Worthing Theatres, Worthing, Sussex, 01903 206206

Worthing Theatres are a group of three venues, the Pavillion Theatre situated on Worthing Pier, Connaught Theatre where live shows and cinemas are based, and the Assembly Halls where concerts are held.  A variety of music, drama, comedy and musicals are staged at the theatres.

Part of the Ambassador Group of theatres, the Theatre Royal Brighton is a Grade II listed building dating back 200 years.  Musicals, ballet and drama some of the varieties of entertainment staged throughout the year.

Arts venue set in a site of 38 acres, producing 350,000 performances per year, with over 170,000 visitors.  Theatre, dance, music, comedy, concerts, film and visual arts, as well as summer performances in the amphitheatre.

Brighton Dome, Brighton, Sussex, 01273 709709

The Brighton Dome is three venues in one, with the Dome Concert Hall, the Corn Exchange and the Pavilion Theatre. The Dome was converted into a Concert Hall in the 19th century and then refurbished in 1935, staging some of the world’s biggest names, and in 1974 Abba won the Eurovision Song Contest here. The Dome continues to stage famous names, which in more recent years have included Beyonce and the Scissor Sisters.  The Pavilion Theatre hosts comedy, dance, theatre and musicals, as well as concerts.  The Corn Exchange is a unique and versatile venue with an arched ceiling.
